Green Profit Gold EA (V2.69 by @GreenForexEA) trades XAUUSD on the M5 timeframe using a 56-period Band Cloud channel (multiplier 1.0, 2-bar confirmation, minimum gap 8) paired with a 200-period EMA trend filter during active session hours (01:15 to 23:55 server time). Unlike single-direction gold bots, it executes both long and short swings with a strict single-position cap (InpMaxOpenTrades=1) and no martingale or grid recovery. In the 21-month MetaTrader 5 backtest from January 3, 2025 to October 9, 2026 (99% history quality, 2,502,977 ticks), the EA completed 352 closed trades nearly evenly split between 178 short positions (44.38% win rate) and 174 long positions (48.85% win rate), generating +4,811.52 net profit (+48.12%) and a 1.24 profit factor.
Each trade is sized dynamically via Auto Lot at 1.0% risk per trade (ranging between 0.01 and 0.18 lots in the test) and protected by a 10-period ATR stop loss (8.5x multiplier), a 6.0 reward-to-risk target ratio, and a level-based trailing stop. In the tested sample, maximal equity drawdown reached 17.07% (3,043.40) and maximal balance drawdown reached 16.47% (2,918.73), with an average win of +150.71 versus an average loss of -105.88 (1.42:1 payoff ratio) across a 46.59% overall win rate. Data Lab quantitative auditing highlights two critical limitations: first, returns rely heavily on outlier winners, as the top 5% of trades (18 trades) contributed 41.73% of gross profit (removing them leaves -5,503.38 net loss and a 0.72 profit factor); second, the report was generated in MT5 profit-in-pips mode with zero commission and zero swap modeled across all 704 deals.
